Stuck On The Same Path
Today, a student told me he was stuck. I said “well stand up then”. I obviously misunderstood.
He felt like he was doing the same boring things day after day and needed to change. The expression he was looking for in English was “I’m stuck in a rut”.
This expression comes from the idea of wheels getting stuck on the same path (rut) in the road.
